Inspired at a young age by his mother's dramatic healing from multiple sclerosis, Chandler was powerfully drawn to the healing arts by a desire to understand the causes and mechanisms of disease and health. His studies led him to explore and integrate disciplines and philosophies from a variety of fields including shiatsu and massage, craniosacral therapy, positional release, yoga, tai chi and qigong, modern dance, meditation, and prayer. Since graduating from Oberlin College with a degree in Biology Chandler has taught extensively in number of disciplines, notably shiatsu, qigong, yoga, and meditation. He has been on the faculty at Centerpoint Massage and Shiatsu Therapy School since 2005, and since founding Living Waters Wellness in 2004 he has logged more than 3500 clinical hours. He now lives with his wife and two daughters in Minneapolis, and is pursuing his professional bodywork and teaching practices full time. In addition to studying and practicing bodywork Chandler loves accappella singing, hiking in the woods, cooking, and spending time with his family. |
